1) Patching your World of Warcraft Client


First of all, everyone gets scared because they don't know which patch they are on, and don't know what patch to patch to. So hopefully this next tutorial will give you all the information you need to play on WoWGasm.

First of all, install World of Warcraft. If you do not have it installed already, and don't have the CD, look for it on a torrent site or download the trials from the main World of Warcraft Site. (I am not putting links to these files, as i do not support piracy, and neither does the server)

Seccondly, install the next 3 patches, and you will be patched and ready to go on a PC (NOT MAC).

United States and Australia Patches:

2) Connecting to RebirthWoW

Alot of people ask "How do i get onto RebirthWoW", so here is a guide on how to modify your realmlist, and successfully connect to the servers.

Step 1) Modifying your Realmlist

This is a very simple, yet can be very tricky if you don't know how to modify files.

First of all, go to your World of Warcraft Folder, which is usually located at "C:/Program Files/World of Warcraft"
Seccondly, right click your Realmlist.wtf File (Usually just "Realmlist" if you haven't got file extensions checked) and make sure the file is NOT Read-Only.


Seccond step is to Open the realmlist file with Notepad.


Now edit it to say

set realmlist rebirthwow.game-host.org

Save it.

And that's the Realmlist set. Now you should beable to run WoW.exe (NOT LAUNCHER.EXE)

3) Downgrading

If you have mistakenly upgraded to a higher version than we are currently running (2.3.3) please use this guide to downgrade!

Step 1)

Deleting your Patch.mpq files.

This is a step that most people get wrong, they think "Ok must delete all MPQ files". DO NOT DO THIS.

You must ONLY delete the files, that start with PATCH.


Now, run Repair.exe in the world of warcraft directory.


Let that run, then follow the guide to patching (Number 1), and you will be back to normal, and able to play again!

BE AWARE, THIS PROCESS WILL TAKE UP TO 3 HOURS ON SLOW COMPUTERS!
